Kyambadde, 12: Bullying is when guys who are bigger than you tease you all the time. They may find you at the canteen, push you and force you to give them money. If I were bullied, I would tell my big brother and he would beat them and warn them not to do it again. All children should report bullies to the teacher or to tell the school prefect about it.
Muyambe, 11: It is when a new comer in a boarding school is teased and abused. One time I went to a new school and the girls started teasing me that I did not know how to dance and that I did not know some words in English. When I went back home, I told my parents about it and they took me to another school when the year ended. Children who are bullied should not answer back. They should keep quiet and report to their parents or teachers.
Aminata Oduka, 10: Bullying is when bigger children tell others to do for them things by force, like getting for them lunch. Sometimes they will report you to a teacher when you have done nothing. They can even beat you and chase you out of class when the teacher is out. Children should not bully others. If you get bullied, do not do the things they tell you to do. Just report them to the teacher. Children who bully should be beaten. Wambui, 10: Bullying is meant to hurt or frighten someone who is weaker than you. Some people force others to wash their clothes or fetch water for them. Sometimes, they threaten to beat you if you refuse. Bullies should do things for themselves instead of forcing others. You should not fear anybody. Report them to your teacher or to your parent
Kyokunda, 10: Bullying is when some older people frighten or threaten to beat you at night when you are sleeping. I used to go to a school in Mbarara where some girls used to tell others to wash their clothes. When they refused, they told they they threatened to kill the new girls at night. Children should report bullies to the teachers or parents. Bullies should stop it or they will get in trouble.
Zalwango, 8: When you tell someone to do something for you and threaten to beat that person or do something bad to them if they don’t do it, you are bullying them. If I ever get bullied, I will report to a responsible person. People who are bullied should report to their teacher or parents. Bullies should stop it because it is bad and they teach other children to hurt others.
Mugabe, 12: This is when big children act mean towards smaller ones. If they want something, they can push you around and hurt you. If I were bullied, I would do what they asked me to do if they were many, then report to the nearest teacher or the teacher on duty. Children should run away from bullies and report them. Bullies should be suspended from school.
